84 Evinrude Fountain Display

Just rebuilt the water pump and hooked up the earmuffs. When I turn on the water, it's pouring out of the weep holes in the gear case. Don't recall it doing this before. Wha'd I do wrong? Many thanks for your help, PW

Did you install a complete kit?----Just the impeller?----Factory parts ?----Any pieces left over ?----Model # of motor ?

I usually post this. Sorry. No leftover parts. The most difficult part of the reassemble is reinserting the feed tube from the pump to the power head. I may have gotten that wrong. I loath taking it apart again.

Aftermarket kit by Sierra. I've used these before with no trouble.

Did tube come out with the pump ?----If yes the tube must be installed into the exhaust housing first.

Yep. That's the way I put it back in. But it might have slipped out.
