this is almost a continuous of last post , had a carb problem , fixed it and was running the motor and noticed a raw water leak at the oil cooler so I undid the bolt and fixed the leak(was the raw water pipes at each end of cooler) , started the motor and now I have raw water in my oil and going out the leg and lots, I know my headgasket it not faulty , I also checked my plugs and they are fine. before I messed with the oil cooler and fixed the leak I had no water in my oil, did I not seat the seals properly?, please help any info would be appreciated

Either a faulty o-ring in the oil cooler (Volvo Penta part # 925092) , or a pierced tube. My guess is one of the o-rings. Not difficult to repair, they cost 3 bucks each. And if it is a pierced tube, just plug it on both ends.

I completely agree with you, did lots of research and appears to be the gasket between the engine and oil cooler, will look at it today and update. thank you for the reply

Volvo Penta aq145 a I have oil in my exhaust water. I have no water in my oil. How could it be the oil cooler gasket when the oil and water can't mix unless you have a hole in one of your oil pipes in the oil cooler. The gasket 925092 goes between the oil cooler and the block and would keep oil out of our bilge but have no effect in oil getting into exhaust water. Am I wrong sure would be nice if that would fix my problem ... Help

Simple physics.... Water in the oil cooler tubes is at a slight vacuum, while the oil inside the cooler jacket is at 40 psi or better... Hole in tube, bad solder joint at tube to divider plate or gasket.... a good radiator shop could possibly fix.

One time posters have a bad batting average in posting final results.
