BF75, late model - 6 wire plug at the engine??

Re-powered my pontoon with this engine. I had to buy a new wiring harness for length. (Honda NOS 32205-ZY6-020AH MAIN WIRING HARNESS).
On the end by the engine is an extra plug. 6 wires, pictures attached. What is it for. The other harness didn't have one. If not needed, what should I do with it, as it is going to get wet???
Thank you in ad

Hi,

I definitely don't know but...

...Looking at the shop manuals Honda sells, they list one for:

BF75DK3/4...frame number BBAJ-12000001 through 9999999

and another for:

BF75D...frame number BBAJ-1000001 through 1200000

If no one else that responds knows either, maybe the answer is in one of those.

As far as if that portion of the harness isn't needed, you might consider putting dielectric (tune-up) grease inside the plug cavities and then encasing them in shrink tape.
I would then run a bead of SENSOR SAFE silicone or gasket maker at the tape ends.

I prefer using Permatex Right Stuff because it sticks and is tough. It's expensive though and shelf life of what's left over is short because it hardens in the tube.

Don't use anything that smells like vinegar on electrical components or wires. That type of silicone causes accelerated corrosion. Especially in enclosed/sealed spaces.

If you needed to use those connections at a later date, you would want to flush the grease from the pins and sockets with contact cleaner because dielectric grease is non-conductive and might interfere with electron flow.

Sorry I don't have exactly what you're looking for.

Good luck.
