I'm not here as often as iBoats where I'm a Mod. Looking at threads of Spam that have been here more than a day has me taking a second look. If ya'll need some help I'll help

Sure everyone is busy and there are all kinds of AI bots posting all kinds of things.

Does reporting the posts as SPAM soon after they are posted help?
Or is it a deeper issue…with the host site software?

Just when a spam post remains after 24 hours, I'm thinking someone might need some help

I’ve been reporting them as I see them. Sometimes it takes a few days before they disappear, sometimes longer

Seems all of them are “new poster” with a single post to their credit.
Me thinks the membership process needs tightening.

We need a Mod to show up and clear the stuff out. Hope all Mods are doing ok, weather has been really bad so maybe that's it, the oldest one is 4 days old.

HI there, seriously if possible at all if you do get email notifications figured out could you please let me know how you came about doing that and where?… we have the same issue going on another website mentioned in this thread that runs pretty much the same format and would just generally like to to know the area that needs fixing…
From years back I suspect it has something to do with over all security inputs that need updating either quarterly or yearly depending on how it’s set, but I don’t know that to be 100% true… thank you.

And thank you again for clearing out the spammer mess so quickly after an email was sent out this morning, much appreciated.

I just realized that if you select the posters name and hit ignore all the spam post disappear from my feed. I’m sure they are still there for everyone else to see but it clears up my feed until @admin can delete them.
