I'm looking at purchasing a used 2004 freshwater fishing boat that has an electronic fuel infected DT150 2-stroke outboard on it. Without never owning a Suzuki motor in my 30 years of boat ownership, I was hoping I could find some help from some of the Suzuki outboard owners. The boat is 4 hours away from my home, and I'm trying to conduct some research prior to making the trip so I'll have a better idea what I should be looking for, or expect, when we fire this motor up. I don't have a model number for the motor and I can get that from the dealer, but one thing I believe I've found is that the DT150 was not built in 2004. It looks like they last built them in 2003. Would this be correct? While I have no reason to believe this won't be a great running motor, I'm looking for information on possible chronic issues they may have had, and I have a big concern with parts availability if I do have some type of problem. I don't want to purchase a motor where I have the possibility of not being able to maintain or repair it at some point and rendering it useless. Thanks
