Exhaust manifold for Volvo Penta AQ165 and AQ170

Several options...
Given this is a local to you designed boat, first see if matches any local made transmissions.
otherwise.... Velvetdrive is one of the more popular manufacturers of inboard transmissions as is Borg Warner
Is the manufacturer of your boat still in business??? IFSO, try them.

This forum is not limited to Vovlo sterndrives and engines by rules, but rather by the expertise of those who frequent it.
Mistype above and edit times out.... Borg Warner makes Velvet Drives... sorry

It is a Storebro Vindö. I have contacted them, but not heard back. I just got a Volvo Penta BB70 manual from 1958. It seems to indicate the reverse gear and reduction gear system was at least supplied by Penta with a good description of adjustment and replacement. Now I need to find replacement friction discs and brake band.

Thank you for those kind words. :)

I agree that it is almost gone now, and perhaps it is in US. That is also the reason for the Chinese and also Canadian aftermarket products being canceled.

However in Sweden these motor’s where fitted in a large variety of boats and also some other military water cooled systems, why there were a lot of them sold. And with their silk smooth running and nice sound they are much appreciated and many people here try their best to keep them running.

We will see if awareness of this possibility will generate any sails in US or not, but at least now you know it is available. :)
There are a lot of them in the UK and many of us would like to keep them going. Used extensively in Fjord Draco and sports boats and a good deal smoother and lighter than US lumps, so any info on getting exhausts and bends fabricated would be a help.
