I just received a rebuild kit for my fuel pump engine is an 87 Johnson 25hp J25RLCOS. I disassembled the fuel pump and when I removed the diaphragm, the replacement part is the right size but it looks like just a piece of gasket material. The old one has indentations from where the old spring mechanisms made contact. This one is bare flat and doesn’t seem to even be the same material. Bought a Johnson evinrude rebuild kit. Everything else looks identical but the diaphragm.
