Gas Line and Fuel Demand Valve ?

When changing gas lines for my 90 h.p. Johnson and 15 h.p. Merc 4-stroke can I use 3/8 " automobile gas line or do I need to use marine grade and will a Fuel Demand Valve help my 90 h.p. from flooding when first starting with key/choke? Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanks
 
Model # of the 90 hp is ?--------If you are using the correct starting procedure and you have spark that will jump a gap of 7/16" or more it is hard to flood most outboards.
