Help needed PLEASE

Hello everyone, I inherited a Semi-Rigid Infanta 4.2 With two 30hp Mariner Engines from my late father.

It’s currently in South Africa and I live in Portugal.
I wanted to know the year of the engines and hull which would let me know if I need a Certificate of Conformity to import it into Europe. I have tried emailing South African boat dealers but have had no response unfortunately.

I really want to get it over, it has sentimental value to me, my old man and I had some great adventures on it in Africa, it was his pride and joy.

I’m hitting brick walls and I just want a Piece of my Dad with me and something to pass down to my boys from my father.

the engines serial numbers are:
30E 0689-S-250991
30E 0689-S-250998

Vessel Serial number:
5280702

Your 2 engine serial numbers come out to be for a 1992 30 [EO], S = short shaft, Model Number 7030302AW.

Parts Group: 30 HPOptions:Electric start, short shaft (15”/381mm) driveshaft housing. Remote control steering. Oil injection standardModel style:EO

Are you sure the last number of the hull is 02 vs 92? As here in the USA, usually the last two numbers of the boats hull ID number is the year of the boat… just wondering if it’s the same in your neck of the woods and would it match the year of the engine's.🤔… That mentioned, the hull number seems a bit to short.

Hope everything comes together on your end, good luck…🙂

You might want to search online how to read a boat hull I’d number made in those areas just in case it’s different vs here.

30 EO689-250856 - 689-2510251992

According to a Yamaha book of knowledge the true serial numbers would be

689 S 0250991 and 689 S 0250998. As noted model year 1992.
