Low compression reading causes

1998 Mariner 60hp 2stroke 2 cyl. has compression reading of 65 on all three clinders. Starts and runs fine when idling, but acts up when given higher throttle. A

Retest with another gauge.----Sounds like overheat damage------Or lack of oil.-----May need rebuilding.----Availability of parts ?

Things to cause low compression in a two stroke. Not much.

Damaged piston.
Damaged piston rings.
Head gasket.
Damaged head.

Acting up is not necessarily caused by low compression. There are other causes.
