Greetings to all boaters from the forum. I have a doubt, and maybe a potential problem. I have a Mercury 50 Thunderbolt 4 cil 1977 serial number 9136284 Belgium with orange coils that have an external ground wire. I noticed that the ferrite cores on all the windings were cracked and the spark was weak. Now I'm looking for a solution to get rid of them
I replace. Black or blue coils with internal grounding are offered for sale, now the question is whether such coils can be mounted on my engine without fear that something will break, and what solution do you recommend? Thanks everyone!
