"Posting pics on the forum is to some a problem due to size of original.
My suggestion, and the easiest one is to install:
Shrink Pic.

This automatically reduces all posted pics, e-mail attachments etc to a reasonable size and quality.
No need to pre-re-size pics before posting."

You're right. Resizing photos always seems to be an issue.

That looks like a good solution for users to install on their own PC's. It's a free download from the link you provided.

I will look into some add ons that would provide the same resizing right here on the board when users post, but we don't have that ability at the moment.

We also have a basic online resizing tool here that is available for anyone to use. Not a download, just resize online and then save the photo back to your pc. See:

I just find it in general rather useful and time saving.
Online resizing is no problem if you have a super high speed connection.
Having it installed and done 'locally' without the need of saving multiple versions of same pic makes it rather easy to use.
I sometimes need to send some pics by e-mail, and with scanning etc a full size may take for ever to get attached. The re-sized goes like a whisper, and if needed, easy to disable.
