Rev engine in neutral

Hello, I am new in this site. I have twin Volvo 800HP diesels and there is no button to push to increase engine RPM in neutral. Does anyone know how this is done?

It depends on the control box scheme used...the most common approach is to provide a button where the pivot point for the lever is (cant see it in the pic posted)...I have seen a couple where the lever was pulled out to get a throttle only function...the newer boxes (combined throttle and gear functions) may have electronic controls and those are best learned about thru the operators manual....
 
This one has no buttons or pull out feature, it’s electronic so I wasn’t sure if this is not an option or there is some trick to it. Thanks for your help!
 
Their EVC system is full of proprietary features....and there are frequent 'upgrades'...hence the manual suggestion...
