Sand in the pump. Replaced the pump. The pee port was plugged & the hose . Cleaned and it blows through nice, still low flow. I And Im getting water in the crank shaft tube not the gear housing . I took off lower end and put my house water hose to the water tube and and the flow is still the same. The water shoots out about 1' 1/2, but its a thin week spray . Not a strong solid spray the hits the water like it used to. Could the exhaust chamber to the t-stat get clogged?

There's an obstruction somewhere inside. Get a strong air compressor and use a narrow tube attachment to blast air into the water tube and piss port, keep alternating and do this with keen ears to listen for any movement of the obstruction. What is the sand type? Limestone you could dissolve, volcanic or siliceous material you cannot.
