I’m trying to figure out what year my motor is. Mod# GG18801A. & Serial number is 36X872409 can anyone help me? Thank you

I think your motor was built by Gale, these were branded under quite a few names.
Give these folks a call. You can probably purchase a parts/Service, or Owner Manual. I know, I know, the link looks like a porn site, (The Brazilian Connection),but they are legit. Phone # at bottom of page

This is a quite large document, scroll through or search til you get to the Montgomery Ward section. Scroll down to CUSTOMER SERVICE MODEL REFERENCE CHART, then page “H”. Your model appears as 1963. Followed by an entire service manual.
Yours is also Gale model 5D22, which is on page 1-26
