My DF140 has way too much play in the throttle, it must be moved about 45 degrees forward from when it clicks into gear to when the engine starts to respond. When it does respond, it does it suddenly with way too much throttle. This makes the boat very difficult to maneuver in close quarters. Add in a bit of wind, and I have no confidence in my ability to dock safely. I have handling boats of various types and sizes for 61 years (I am 72 now), so I should be reasonably competent.
