snapped off ss bolt.

Ok I just picked up a electric shift lower unit I think it is off a 1972 65 hp.I have many new parts for this unit.As i was taken off the prop bearing housing i found one of the alen head stainless bolts snapped off.It seems to be stopping the housing to be pulled out of the lower unit casing.I am wondering why it will not pull out.The bolt head is what holds this.And with the head snapped off i would think the prop bearing housing carier would pull out. Any clue on what I should do to get this electric shift gearcase apart.Thanks Tony

That bearing housing should pull out now !!--------It may be held in tight by corrosion.

Proper puller for it and heat, heat, heat.

I got it.Used the puller with heat and the housing pulled out.now I can rebuild this lower unit. Thanks Tony
