Hi Racer,
Here are some photos that I took of the front waterjackets. You had mentioned it would be around the #1 cyclinder and as you can see there is no sign of any plug. Maybe I'm misinterpreting where the waterjacket is.

Try looking on the side of the #1 cylinder above and to the left of the bypass cover.
