Tidying the rigging tube/engine connection

This is my current rigging tube to engine interface.... it's rubbish! The hard plastic end of the rigging tube is broken and the rubber grommet is not being used.

A couple of questions:
1) Should the rubber grommet (which I do have) be fitted when the rigging tube has a hard plastic grommet like this? If so, how?

2) Should the plastic grommet fit more like this (it looks like it might - it would help if it wasn't broken!)?

Or should I set it up more like this - without the plastic grommet:

That last picture is one I found on the web,, not my engine.
Just trying to figure out which cable/hose goes where in the rubber grommet!

I installed my BF225's last year and part #3 "grommet" is rubber and has an individual properly sized hole for each cable/line/hose. There are slices in the grommet that allow you to slide each cable/line/hose up into its spot. (don't have to disconnect a hose to push it through).

The plastic rigging hose then snugs up nice over the rubber grommet.

Well I gave up on the Honda rubber grommet as I think my fuel line is larger diameter than the original and was miles away from fitting.

So I resorted to plan B which involved wrapping the pipe/cable bundle in stretched bike inner tube and then holding it together with self amalgamating tape.

This created a nice solid pack that the rigging tube snugly fit over - feels good and I don't think it's going anywhere soon :)

I’m in a similar situation. For some reason I’m having a difficult time getting the Honda rubber grommet to seat in the correct location without wanting to pull out of the mount on the engine.
