SPARKPLUG Gap on 9.9 Merc What should it be? Year 2000

Most plugs are pre-gapped these days by part number. Since no one replied, I don't know but I would expect that if you replaced the existing plugs part number you would be good to go. My memory for CDI systems, 0.040" is the number whereas older ignition systems used 0.030-0.035". Best I can do!

Mine were more like .05 and I reset them to .04 as you recommend and they are still working.
