BF225 Fuel Injectors interchangeable?

Has Honda changed the fuel injectors used on the BF225s during their production run? I received and installed an injector that was marked differently from the one it was ordered to replace. The fuel injector related miss has vanished and the engine is running like new since I installed the injector but the differences have me with questions.

The injectors have two rows of printed numbers on them and a stamped letter that is away from the printed numbers.
The original injector's printed numbers are "QA17" and "AAM" and the stamped letter is "M".

The injector that came as a replacement printed numbers are "TG25" and "ABSW" and the stamped letter is "W". There is also that white plastic ring around the bottom of the body.

Is this a known replacement injector?

Interestingly though that the part number that I ordered looks different when I search images of it. It matches the look of my other injectors. The images of the -003 injector matches the injector I received. That is bothersome to me. I wonder how much of a difference there is between the two.

Just spoke to Honda customer service and the -013 has replaced the -003 and is used as replacement injectors on engines that came with -003 injectors.

Good to know. Sorta makes you wonder why, doesn't it.

I know the replacements look a hellofa lot the standard Honda Civic Fuel Injectors that can be had for $22 + core. It would be IDENTICAL in appearance if it had a longer discharge collar.

Look at the Accord fuel injector. Looks like Honda may have done this to eliminate carrying multiple parts that can serve the same duties. I'd like to get the specs on the Accord and BF225 injectors to see if they are the same. Accord injectors go for $33 NEW.
