What differece is there in part #s for high speed orifice for my carb?

The motor is a 50273C (50 hp 1972) ....I was perusing parts and noticed there are two different ones listed....does one have a bigger hole?

ETA: One part # is 0308977 and the other is 0328543....

OK...I pulled the orifice plug that was in the motor and it's a 58C....looking at the technical data, I think the one listed for my carb is supposed to be a 58D...googling the difference between the two, I came across a post that says the flow is different....I guess I need to check my carb part # and make sure of what I have....seeing as how I've thought all along that my high speed WOT was lacking performance up to my expectations, could this be a problem???

The D is an updated part #. The C is probably the correct original orifice. Is this the same 50 hp that is on the 24' pontoon boat. You may need to have a reasonable expectation for speed out of that combo. There is no magic jet that will cure your speed issue. Especially on an underpowered combo like yours.
 
Thanks for the reply....I'd be fine with the performance I had with its maiden voyage...but during that voyage is when it developed a pin hole leak in the reed valve gasket...and within the last couple of times I took it to the lake, it has apparently developed a leak in the head gasket, because while pulling the hoses off the carbs, I found a dirty brown liquid....pulled the spark plugs and there were beads of moisture on them. I'm depressed....

I'm still gonna have take off the power head...right? I was just told last week that I can have (for free) a 1975 70 HP (70573E) that has been sitting for over 12 years because the previous owner died and the family let the old boat (Yukon Delta) start to crumble...I think I'm going to swap motors...part out the one I have...if I have to go to the trouble of doing a complete overhaul, it might as well be with more HP...
