Mercruiser alpha 1 genII drive steering stiff

If you buy pivot bolt kit for drilling holes , it comes with hole saw , tap and plastic plugs. $80.00 I think, saves from having to pull motor. Does your application have grease zert at aft (out side) transom all the way up top ?

Cotter pin came out with needle nose pliers, the pin itself was with a blunt end of an air hammer, did it ezzzzeeee with one hand, whereas the bfh could not get it out

thought it would look kinda sketchy, and then too I risk screwing up the transom. pulling the motor only took a few hours, and then I repainted the entire transom too

thats all the fun in it, figuring it out. just buy one and it works well and pay a boatload of money for it is not so fun, doesnt seem like the PO did anything at all lolz
