No Tach Signal - 1996 Evinrude 150 V6

Have the following.
New tach. Grey signal wire from motor harness to tach has continuity. Good ground. Charging system is functioning (13.4V). But no tach signal.
If charging system is functioning, does that mean stator power coil is good? Does it follow that problem must be with rectifier/regulator??

I believe your voltage would be out of whack if the rectifier were bad. Did you have a tach before that didn't work, or is this a brand new install? If you got a generic tach, make sure the DIP switch on the back is set to 6P for your Evinrude.

The original (‘96) tach was replaced due to faulty MWS-Check System, but the tach registered. Not long ago, that (original) tach began to read inconsistently, so I replaced it with a new Faria MWS tach. The new Faria MWS warning lights functioned properly, but did NOT register RPM. Thinking that the tach may have been at fault, I called Faria and they agreed to check and/or replace the tach. Faria checked the tach and reported they found nothing wrong, but volunteered to replace the internal components. The second (replacement) tach provided no changes (MWS functioned but no RPM). Tach dip switches were all set to 6. When questioned, Faria said the dip switch setting would NOT result in no signal, but would only cause inaccurate readings.
Presuming the new tach was good, I checked gray wire continuity from engine to tach, ground, and (purple wire) voltage supply. At the suggestion from an old thread, I tried temporarily connecting the gray wire to individual (yellow) wires from stator, attempting to by-pass the rectifier/regulator, but still got no signal. That said, I’m getting good voltage to key switch and tach, and all gauges and lights work. Lastly, the stator and rectifier/regulator were both recently replaced.
What am I missing?
