Went thru quite a bit with this motor. First was when given gas would not take it for any time and die. With that said, turned out to be power pak on starboard side was bad. I also had all three carbs cleaned and checked out (needles etc) . Run like a rape ape when you hit the gas HOWEVER, low speed and idle are rough but runs and a bit smokey on start up. Is this normal for this year? I know 1984 will do that but not sure about this one. Rpm's are ok as well running between 6 and 700 in water and 800 to 900 out of water with hose being used.
