I replaced my rectifier and tach started working and it started charging again. It worked for 4 times out. We only take it out on Saturday and just for a couple hours. Well my tach quit again but it was still charging. Now it has quit charging again. I just re-ordered another rectifier. In the last two weeks I changed the starter and solenoid. Would that have affected the rectifier? Thanks for any advice

As long as you disconnected the battery before changing parts, I would say no.
I can’t remember if I disconnected the battery or not putting on the rectifier. Now I did disconnect the battery when I did the starter and starter solenoid. Thank you for any help.

Are you using a maintenance free battery for your cranking battery? If so it is my understanding this will keep burning up your rectifier.
