Does anyone know which wires feed high voltage to the CDI box. I have 4.8 volts on each pulser coil. Blue-black and Blue/green-black.I have a 2005 BF 90 that has no spark on cylinders 1 and 4. I have swapped coils. It did not follow the coil. I have a DVA adaptor to test with but do not know which wires to test and what values I'm looking for. I searched online but found very little information.
Thanks for the reply. I believe that mine is different. I have a 12-volt supply wire to the CDI box. It has proper voltage. I checked with mt DVA adaptor the voltage to the top terminal of the coils. Both have 200+ volts. Does anyone know what the other terminal on the coil does? voltage or ground? Could a defective spark plug lead cause this? Any help is appreciated....Hi,
I don't know but my BF20D outboard has a similar power supply stator assembly and the schematic for that shows a Green wire and a Black wire from the exciter coil.
Sorry if that's not correct but it's all I have.
