    it will work just fine or more than on paper... this is based on 30 years working in manufacturing and beverage plants in technical, maint, and engineering roles.

    not sure what you mean by good on paper ? very common problem in machinery, especially if a bearing has let go and spun or moved within the housing, or older equipment. It is for sure a lasting repair if there is a lack of proper interference or press fit.

    Get a spark gap tester and test for spark when it won’t restart. You set the timing and dwell ? If you adjust the idle mix ont he carb in or out does that affect it?
