    Understood that it is not a choke. My issue is that with the neutral throttle set to idle, the motor stalls when trying to go to reverse or forward. I trying to figure out how to increase idle without messing with three carduretors.

    What a great help this was..The Black/White wire was grounding. disconnected it and check some other things. Engine started and seems to have some life left in it. Can't wait to put the boat in the water next week. NOW...The wire in question (Blk/WHT) and an Off White wire run thru a harness...

    New Issue: 1992 Johnson J60TLENE. Neutral start switch in the motor control unit on the center console is broken. I see several variations of a switch on the web, but not sure if these are updated switches that will work. See attached photo. Can someone supply a part number or replacement?
