    I did use a multi-meter connected to the battery and it reads 15.41, like the gauge on the dash. I wasn't sure if it could be the stator, on the two yellow charge wires from the stator, the yellow wire a/c is 23.5v, the yel/gr a/c is 24v-25v, both at 1500rpm. Thank you for the reply.

    I have a 1991 Evinrude 115hp v4 cross flow. When doing a compression check does the engine need to be warm and full throttle on? Or can it be done with a cold engine without full throttle? And what number should I see per cylinder?

    I replaced the primer bulb and went to the lake twice, thought that was the problem but it was still cutting out. I've just changed the fuel pump to #438556 and ran it on the hose in the driveway, it runs fine. The tach is still working off and on but the rectifier is still charging. Don't know...

    I took the VRO pump off a '91 115hp Evinrude that had a inline fuel filter before the pump, and put fuel pump #438556 on and this pump has a filter in it. Do I still need the inline fuel filter on it before the pump like I had when using the VRO?
