Water pump housing

I have a 1991 Evinrude 115hp, model TE115TLEIE. My original water pump housing has a bleeder hole on the outside of the housing. I ordered a Sierra marine water pump, part #18-3392, it says it replaces the oem #5001594, but the Sierra water pump housing doesn't have a hole on the outside of the housing. Is it supposed the have the bleeder hole or not? If so, what is the part number for the right pump?

Interesting question . It's likely correct . Now I just did mine and similar situation what I noticed is now it takes a while to start pumping on the muffs . I have seen references that the hole is for self primeing . Before I changed the pump it pumped immediately. Generally I'd just drill a equivalent hole but have gotten Leary in my old age .

Thanks for the info.
