    I have a service manual for my 2009 DF90A and it is very comprehensive. The rev limiter should only kick in at 3000rpms in neutral and 6000ish rpms. Wonder if your experiencing fuel starvation as opposed to the rev limiter?

I have read in forums that the carbs have different jets in multiple carb configurations so hopefully you cleaned one carb at a time and didn’t get parts mixed up.     Could the wiring harness be for an analog and/or digital setup whereas you would one or the other?

    Don’t have immediate access to the boat. Where I set my 2”X2” will be different than where you need to place yours depending on trailer height, transom height and lower unit length.

    I’d ask your dealer if it comes with a Setup Manual, if not then make sure he can get one for you. The setup manual explains the throttle and gear shift settings and adjustments, electrical schematics for the various controller configurations. It will take the guesswork and head scratching out...

    I would suggest you get a genuine Honda Service Manual for your engine or ask on this forum if someone would/could post a wiring diagram for your engine.
