Alarm buzzer wiring

Anyone here got a wiring diagram for a 2003 5.0 MPI . It's fitted in a 2000 searay 240 so they might have messed with the colours when it gets to the helm with their horrible fuse box nonsense. Anyway, there is no warning buzzer under the helm that I can find. Would like to know the wiring colours or the colour on the engine where I could feed a new cable down from the helm. Cheers

The alarm is about the diameter of a half dollar and about 3/4 inch tick and black.

Has 2 wires and one goes the the purple wire that feeds all the gauges , the other connects to a tan/blue back to the motor thru its harness

Must have been removed at some point. The wiring is a bit of a mess and dirty under the helm. I much prefer the utility of the commercial workboats I usually work on. I can see why a lot of people rip out the searay panel and install individual switches.

Ok, just fitted a new buzzer. Am I right in thinking these only buzz once when the ignition is switched on as a test, unlike a diesel that has continued alarm until the engine starts and oil pressure is built up?

You should hear 2 buzzes with key ON, and it's usually a Beeper in place of a buzzer
Ah, I just stuck one of my standard 12v control panel buzzers in there. The wiring was as you said but the buzzer was missing. When I turn the ignition to the on position the buzzer sounds once. I presumed it was a single one just for a test. Is the single activation an error code?

I don't think so the beeps are quick so most likely there is 2 buzzes but it sounds like one
