    I have a 225 Honda . Throttle is tight as hell. I disconnected it at both ends and even forced kroil thought it with compressed air and it is still tight. Question is with out pulling it out how do I determine the correct length? It’s on a 22’ Grady seafarer. Thanks , G

    I just fixed mine . Same problem. When the engine was trimmed up I had an oil leak.

    I just put mine back together.i had to replace a part called “ cover mount case”. The extension case rubber has more of a ledge than a groove. Look at your new rubber closely.     I had the same issue. Check the Iab vacuum diaphragm. That was the issue with mine .

    Just a thought. I have a 2002 225. I have had mine apart . Could be the high pressure fuel filter, or the high pressure fuel strainer. I have taken mine out as one unit. I’m not sure if your is the same being a 2005. I hope this helps

    For what it’s worth . I just rebuild the complete lower on my 2002 bf225. Not that bad at all . I think I spent about $600 and I replaced absolutely everything except the gears. All bearings, races, and seals. You may want to consider rebuilding. Just a thought

    The original diaphragm had two small tears where it looks like it just wore out . That’s why the original looks the way it does because I took it apart
