    Honda 225 Oil Leak!

You are right Bob, either that or the flexible seal between the oil pump and the mountcase, although I have never seen one of them fail. Either way it's powerhead off

2005 BF90A Ignition issues.... Need expert advice....

You just need the two wires you mentioned the black/ white to pos for crank. Your issue is strange because 1 an 4 should fire together from the same coil. It looks more likely to be a bad ground, or low voltage into the cdi. The fact that you have weak spark means your cdi is fine as are the...

Honda 200 HP EFI outboard issues

I can chip in here. The serial number you have found is the engine serial number, a dealer in your country can use it to cross reference to find your frame number which is the one you need to find the year. The older V6 motors had issues with the main relay and there was a recall to replace it...

BF90D running issues, surging or stumbling at mid range

I know from experience, I've worked on Honda for 24 years. Typical O2 faults, rough idle with alarm is failed heater circuit, slight surging between 35 and 42 revs, failing sensor, slow to adjust and no alarm

BF90D running issues, surging or stumbling at mid range

Your issue is a lazy slow reacting O2 sensor, in this state it does not log a fault. This has nothing to do with the vtec

    O2 Sensor? 2006 225 BAGJ #1400683, 910 hours, Alarm beep

That ecu/ O2 sensor upgrade is only for A6 motors. Just buy a new sensor

Running issue with 2008 BF225 with 1000 hours.

Have you checked valve clearance, they are very critical to achieve a smooth idle. As Janz said too, O2 sensor can be getting old. doesn't always log a fault code. There's nothing to beat getting proper diagnostics, there more to diagnosing an issue than pulling codes. You also need a good...

Honda BF60A burnt lower unit shrouding

I doubt exhaust leak, exhaust flows through the mount case which is a substantial casting then through a channel in the oil pan and down the middle of the mid section. Perhaps post a photo, I have never seen an exhaust leak on any model of honda apart from the 2hp air cooled.

    Honda BF250 Oil Pressure Sensor

Here in Aus they would have done it under warranty, we have 7 years warranty here provide the motor is serviced every 100hrs or annually. The thrust washer failure was a known problem and would have been picked up earlier through crank end float checks.

    Honda BF250 Oil Pressure Sensor

That is a rough deal. In Australia we have 7 years warranty abd in cases of low hours, good will warranty on known issues. Thrust washer failure on the V6 Hondas are a known issue and if crank end float was checked at correct service intervals, would have been picked up before catastrophic...

The original Honda 90hp carberated - bogging down under accel

Just make sure those idle jets and intermediate jets are clean, I usually spin them on a thin piece of steel fishing trace.

The original Honda 90hp carberated - bogging down under accel

Nothing wrong with 25 year old carbs, you clearly haven't done the job properlk. The slow running jets are very small and reading back, you probsbly have a thin film of varnish reducing fuel flow. Also, whenever you rebuild carbs, always check your float levels. These motors and carbs are not...

The original Honda 90hp carberated - bogging down under accel

Sounds like your float levels are too low. Also, how fresh is your fuel?

The original Honda 90hp carberated - bogging down under accel

Just for the record, the dashpot has nothing to do with bogging under accelerstion, it's there to prevent the motor from cutting out when you snap the throttle shut, it causes a slight delay in the butterflies closing

Honda BF50D giving me fits..... (cooling issue?)

Before you rip into it, are you certain you've got an overheat condition and you've pulled the exhaust side cover plate and checked the drain holes at the bottom below the anode are not blocked?
