    9.9 carb diagram

Thanks. Didn't even think about it being region specific. I'll make sure I'm on the right one next time.

    9.9 carb diagram

thanks, didn't check the country actually, thought I'd gone to the European one, maybe there's a UK one. I'll have to check again

    9.9 carb diagram

Anyone have a link to a carb diagram for a 2015 9.9? Put in the details on the yamaha site but says its not recognised.

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

I'll give it a probe next time i'm out. Owner is just a little paranoid after we found the warning buzzer had been removed by a previous owner and then the fluctuating gauge on his weekend away. We get the test alarm when switching the ignition on and the gauge is fine now but would be nice to...

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

ah ok, so if I probe the sense wire i should see that state change from ignition on/engine off to engine on?

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

yeah, it was the gauge wire that lead me down this path. Owner had a fluctuating gauge, turns out the plug had come loose and the only thing keeping it on was the fact it was trapped by the knock sensor. Was unable to remove it as it's totally trapped by it, anyway, once fully seated gauge is...

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

Ah, no. I meant the oil pressure switch, the 3 pin one next to the oil pressure sender for the gauge. If that's disconnected should that trigger an alarm or is it normally open and would have to be shorted to trigger it?

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

i think it very well might. As for the oil pressure switch, if that was disconnected should that trigger an immediate alarm if the engine is running.

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

No, it's not on the drain plug but it does appear to be screwed directly into the block, it's tight against the oil pressure sender, so tight in fact you can't remove the single wire plug that slides onto the sender. he's my photo realist rendering, I'll take a pic next time I'm passing the...

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

Can't tell the colour. It's got an old black dirty sheath over the actual cable. It's a single wire bolted to the top. It's not in the manifold, it's in the block next to where the 2 oil pressure senders are. The pressure sender with a single wire and the "I presume" oil switch which has a 3 pin...

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

I'll get one next time I'm working over my his mooring. Also, with the oil pressure switch for the ECU/fuel pump, should that trigger an alarm if disconnected?

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

I thought that one was aft of the gauge sender off the tee piece. This mystery one is forward of the gauge sender and directly into the block.

2003 MPI 5.0 oil pressure sender

Ok folks, had a dodgy oil pressure gauge. I went out to the boat to see what his problem was. Turned it just a dodgy connection on the sender but there was another sender on the block forward of the oil pressure sender and so close that the gauge sender plug although loose couldn't come off and...

    Centaflex M160 spares

Bit of a long shot, anyone have or know where I could get spare parts for a centaflex M160. I'm missing the fail-safe bits from one. Btw, I'm UK based

    Alarm buzzer wiring

Ah, I just stuck one of my standard 12v control panel buzzers in there. The wiring was as you said but the buzzer was missing. When I turn the ignition to the on position the buzzer sounds once. I presumed it was a single one just for a test. Is the single activation an error code?

    Alarm buzzer wiring

Ok, just fitted a new buzzer. Am I right in thinking these only buzz once when the ignition is switched on as a test, unlike a diesel that has continued alarm until the engine starts and oil pressure is built up?

    Alarm buzzer wiring

Must have been removed at some point. The wiring is a bit of a mess and dirty under the helm. I much prefer the utility of the commercial workboats I usually work on. I can see why a lot of people rip out the searay panel and install individual switches.

    Alarm buzzer wiring

Anyone here got a wiring diagram for a 2003 5.0 MPI . It's fitted in a 2000 searay 240 so they might have messed with the colours when it gets to the helm with their horrible fuse box nonsense. Anyway, there is no warning buzzer under the helm that I can find. Would like to know the wiring...

5.0 MPI exhaust manifold and riser temp

Yeah. I'll take it for a run tomorrow out to sea. Engine temp comes up and never shifts. I think the owner is chasing a problem that might not be there. He's getting a thermostat kit , it's a cheap job and maybe the old one is a little sticky. Apart from that there can't be anything else wrong...

5.0 MPI exhaust manifold and riser temp

The hoses are different on the one in working in. Hose 3 in your diagram goes to the drain manifold 9 on this engine. Also, at some time in the past the block drain hose has been removed from the block and drain plugs installed and the inlets on the 9 manifold blocked. I've only seen diagrams...
