    Update. Boat is in its slip with charger on Today I had 13v at the port ignition switch and today i could hear the fuel pump turn on. . I have 12.5v thru the 50amp breaker and 12.5V at the alternator orange wire. This tells me the 90amp starter fuse is ok (i think) But still cannot get port...

    ust checked the switches Stb switch has powerPort does not. so likely not the dash switch

    Battery banks are 12.4 and 12.5 50 amp breaker on engine is good. Stb engine working normally until i use the battery bank combo switch to try to start the port engine, which pops the stb engine breaker on the cabin panel (keep in mind its the port engine that is the issue). reset breaker...

    Suddenly no electric power at helm / no start on port engine ignition. Stbd engine is fine. When I tried using the combination battery switch, the engine switch breaker in the cabin would trip and the starboard engine would also die. Reset the breaker and then the stbd engine will work...

    Yes but the manual was printed 2 yrs before my engine and gasket material is different etc. Someone said there is a later service bulletin (99-10) saying no sealant. I cant find it Ooops I found it. But it dosnt mention sealant

    My gaskets are blanked off - no water port. (circles are solid) Most instructions say if sealant is used not to put it on the round ports, but everywhere else.

    Ive researched the hell out of this and have found no consensus. Cloosed cooling - Dry Joint Elbow gasket If sealant is uses on the metal gaskets it seems people say use Permatex Aviation ($12) or the Mercruiser sealant ($50) its basically the same. But many say latest info is to not use...

    And we're back! Turned out the distributor rotor had blown up. replaced and she runs great again. But it did reveal the barrel harness connector seems loose. jiggle has it in place working now. but have to solve that.

    Keep in mind the + terminal on ths starter is inacessible without removing risers, etc. Its being done so far by braile. With ignition on and if i jiggle wires at the starter I go from zero to 12.4V - same as batteries. But that dosnt last long until i jiggle again. If I short across the...
