    I replaced the thermostats in the beginning of the season last year even though they looked good. I do agree with the theory on the flush port not doing the entire cooling system. Even if the thermostats were open they would close from the cold water being flushed through it.

    Toward the end of the season I noticed water coming out of the front of the cover when the motor was trimmed all the way up and I was flushing the motor from the flush port with a garden hose. Also noticed it would leak out of the front of the motor when cruising above 20mph. Last time I flushed...

    I'm going to replace the cable boot but in the meantime I have everything wrapped with rubber tape to protect it.

    Not sure what it's exactly called but the rubber boot that all the lines come out of from the side of the boat has a tear in it. Whenever the motor turns to steer it would drag that wire back and forth on the exposed edge of the fiberglass.

    It ended up being the 10awg wire that feeds power to the ECU. Replaced it today And everything seems to be working normal again. Thanks to everyone for all the help and all the tips!

    Anyone happen to know what gauge wire those three are? There's two that are the same and then a smaller diameter one.

    I found it! One of these three cables must have a break in it right around where it goes into the motor. Pulled the cables upward and alarm started going off, dashboard lit up and fuel pump turned on. Let go of the cables and everything went dim again. Pulled them up and everything is back on...

    Installed the new ignition today. When I turn the key the batt/temp/engine lights come on and it beeps but still won't turn over. The beep is long and constant though and slowly dies out along with all the lights. If I try turning the key to start it the lights get dimmer but nothing else...

    Lanyard is on. Im going to unplug the wires to it to test the kill switch. From what I've read disconnecting the wires will bypass it.

    They charged to 12.9v Turning the key still does absolutely nothing. I was able to jump the starter and get the motor to turn over. It sounded good but it won't fire up. Could a faulty ignition switch keep the motor from starting?

    Batteries are going on 2 years old. Cables are connected to threaded battery posts with nut and washer. Connections were fairly clean but I did take them apart and clean them anyway.     2007 BF225 Fault code

    Cleared codes and ran the engine for at least 10 minutes and no alarm and no codes. I'm guessing it was due to a bad O2 sensor. I had replaced the O2 sensor last week and didn't run the engine with it until today. Thank you for the help

    Having an issue with a new to me boat. When I start the motor after about 1 minute of running there is a continuous beep and engine light on. Checked codes and I'm getting 1 long blink followed by 1 short. Assuming it means a code 11 but can't find a chart with that # on it.
