    Thank you for that info. It is definitely in the wrong spot then. Would that being in the wrong spot cause it to flood? Not to sound stupid, but I am new to boats. I will move that to the other position and see what happens. Can't thank you enough for the help!

    I did find the primer.Mounted on the side of the outboard. Lever was pointed up.

    Yes, I made sure there is light thru the jet down there. Electric primer valve? This is new to me.I am not familiar with this part.

    Hello everyone. I have a 1991 Johnson 40hp outboard.. Both carburetors were rebuilt. New plugs installed..I can get it to idle..But after shutting it off, the carburetors leak fuel into the engine, fouling out the plugs. I have checked the float adjustments, and they are good.Cannot figure out...
