1976 Evinrude 70673D won't accelerate in gear

Hi, all. Still working on my old 70673D and trying to figure out why it won't accelerate. Had to do some work on it after it overheated due to bad impeller. Here's the history so far:

-Bought motor used, ran good but overheated due to bad impeller
-Replaced impeller, then did exhaust and head gaskets since they were seeping. Also replaced thermostat and rubber things under the springs and plastic valves (got new ones as well)
-Replaced all coils. One had a badly corroded wire that broke off, other two didn't look much better. Got BRP parts off Crowley Marine
-Compression test showed 120, 120, ~110 (I think 112 to be exact) top to bottom, engine was having a hard time starting after
-New Champion 828-1 (QL77JC4) plugs
-Took carbs off and cleaned them out best I could not having an ultrasonic tank. Used carb clean spray and torch tip cleaners. New float, float needle, nozzle seal and float bowl seal installed.
-Set timing per Joe Reeves method. 4* at neutral idle, WOT cranking set to 13*. This was done with motor in a tank of water
-Set throttle cam so the START mark was at the middle of the middle of the roller with spec'd clearance

Took it to the lake earlier today and it will get a little off in gear idle up to about 1,500rpm, but pushing throttle open more makes engine bog down and die. Will recover if pulled back to idle. I'm just about at a loss now on what else could be going on.

Yep, compression should be higher, but that's what it's at. As far as I can tell, it's never been rebuilt and bored. It was the same numbers before doing all the work mentioned and it ran good until it got too hot

Anyone have suggestions? I'm about ready to take it to a shop and have them figure it out, but would really prefer being able to DIY this and learn the motor more. Would this sound like maybe a rich bog? I tried the trick of tapping the key in for choke when it'd start to stumble, but that just kills it, so I'm sure it's not too lean.
