1977 9.9 Evinrude electric start

I just replaced impeller and termostat. Put motor in tank and ran. water peeing out as it should. Now I have water coming out either side at bottom of pivot ponit. I have a video but i can't figure out how to post.

Not nearly enough water in your bucket !!!----Water needs to be 6 / 8" ABOVE the impeller.----You risk damage to pump and motor running the way you are !

Yup, your correct. Brain fart. Would the explain water shooting out either side as video shows. My impellor is pumping as water is coming out pee hole. Is there an explanation why I have water coming out sides at pivot point.

Made sure bucket full. Level was well above water intake. No cavitation. Water still going out at pivot point as well coming our hole at top of leg.
