1977 Johnson 70HP Starter not working.

I jumped straight to starter and did everything properly and it won’t spin. I removed the starter and wire brushes the terminals and ground and still nothing. I don’t know what could be wrong inside the starter. It has been sitting for god knows how long and I am getting it running so any help is appreciated. I am not an electrician.

Update! I got it working ita fine now.
