I have this motor serial #4845809 and my engine side wiring harness is all rotted out. It has a distributor with 6 output wires like a pre-90s car. It starts up and runs great, but cuts out after a few minutes of running it on the water. I ordered a new JetUnit wiring harness and have a question about the starboard side bottom connection on the switch box.
That partially white lug on the bottom gets which wire? Is that the ADI kill? The wiring manual states that the orange wire on the new harness connects to the "Kill Circuit for ADI- (May be Black/Yellow)". Does it connect to that spot?
Also, I'm assuming the one above it(red) receives the smaller red 12V wire from the new harness. As my motor sits now with the original harness, the smaller red splits into two with one going to the rectifier and one to this red lug. So I imagine I can just run mine to the switchbox and then run a jumper to the red rectifier lead? Or is that wrong? Thanks.
