1981 7.5hp gearcase removal

I removed the 3 gearcase to exhaust housing bolts, shifter is in forward, still can't remove gearcase. Anyone know what I need to do? Please help. Thanks!
 
It should now pull off.------Perhaps the crankshaft spline has rusted and is jammed on the stainless driveshaft spline.-----A bump with a rubber mallet may help.----And no there is nothing to loosen on the shift rod !

I finally was able to remove the gearcase, the water pump impeller is rusted solid to the driveshaft, the impeller housing broke & that's when it came apart. The driveshaft is still stuck in the powerhead, all 6 bolts (powerhead to exhaust housing) are removed. Don't think this unit has been apart in a very long time, thanks for your help!
 
Mix up some Acetone and ATF 50-50, turn the motor upside down and put that mixture on the drive shaft. Won't hurt to hang the mtr by drive shaft either upside down.

I have same situation. However was able to remove gear housing. The driveshaft came out of housing and is soaking upside down in power head. If I cannot remove the driveshaft, is there something that holds the driveshaft in the Kia housing?
