Hey Guys. I have researched and researched...looked at everything I can think of. My Idle timing is definitely off. It is firing at forward detent 2 degrees btdc. The throttle plates are in the correct closed position meaning there is no pressure holding them open. I am following the factory manual for idle timing. It is supposed to fire 4 degrees above top dead center. The full throttle timing is perfect. Followed every procedure of the factory syc and link. The engine is run at full throttle to warm it up completely so quick start should not be an issue. My local mechanics said they don't know and wont even take a look at the motor. My midrange response sucks and the motor idles like a wagon and a rocky road. Its leaving an oil slick in the water. Something is wrong. I just cant put my finger on it. Is the problem under the flywheel? I would think the full throttle timing would also be off. The fuel system has been completely cleaned and rebuilt and inspected. Any ideas?? This is keeping me up at night...
