Hello Everybody.
I have recently bought a 1988 evinrude 50hp twin cylinder vro and am having some trouble finding out which plugs I need for it.
The engine has B9HS10 but from what I can find out so far is that it may use the non projected tip type of plug which I believe are not the best for starting and idling. the alternative to these are BZ7HS10 would these be the best option or are the ones in it B9HS10.
I would be very gratefull for any help.
By the way the VRO has been removed I am not sure if this makes any differece

checked my Clymer/Evinrude/Johnson shop manual, there is a spark plug chart and for your model(and mine) there is a special note that reads "OMC recommends the use of Champion QL77JC4 or L77JC4 plugs gapped to 0.040 in. for sustained low-speed operation. For sustained high-speed use, OMC recommends Champion QL78V or L78V ( non-adjustable gap)." I hope this doesn't cause more questions, I found my 87' 48 Special idles a lot better gapped to 0.040.
