It seems the NGK BUHW spark plugs that were the OEM plugs for this motor are no longer available.
Some say Champion L76V is recommended to replace this plug, but I am not sure.
The OEM plug has an electrode in the center with ceramic around it and then the body of the plug.
The spark goes directly from the electrode to the body.
Most other plugs have a small L-shaped piece welded to the body of the plug which goes from the body to the electrode with a ~.040" gap.
Can someone please recommend an alternate plug to the OEM one that is correct for this engine?

Use the NGK BP8HN-10...$4.49 ea at O'reilleys

Fazbullet, Thanks for the quick reply. Price is right as is the availability. This uses the other design from the OEM design.
It seems to protrude into the combustion chamber much more than the OEM plug. I assume it will clear the piston at TDC, right?
I assume it is OK to spark closer to the piston.
Is the heat range the same?
I have owned this motor since 1989 (35 years) and are trying to make sure I don't break the old baby.
