"I have a 1989 mariner 100 hp (serial#0C135659) 4 cylinder.One day running good,next day cranks but will not start.Kill switch ok,getting fuel,plugs not firing.I have oem service manuel.The stator was upgraded few years ago(red)must be a 18 amp.with regulator.I did the stator ohms test(not removed)with a digital multimeter(radio shack)between blue lead & blue/white stripe lead removed from terminals.I left black ground wire on.I got .737 ohms,book says should be 6800-7600 ohms.I assume I need a new stator if I did everying right.I would appreciate any input to my problem.THANKS...."
