Hi, Hopefully a quick answer but my Johnson 70 VRO blew the main fuse while trying to start. The starter was tired and turning slowly obviously drawing a lot of Amps although the battery was fully charged and then the main fuse blew and nothing worked. I removed and overhauled the starter and it now spins over much better and starts but after leaving the boat for a month, the fuse will blow if I have to engage the starter multiple times to get it going again. Would this mean it most likely just needs a new starter?
Second problem is that the overheat alarm (VRO alarm) goes off as soon as ign is switched on. Disconnecting the temp sensor makes no difference and I have checked all wiring and found nothing. The VRO is still injecting oil as the level is going down in the oil tank when coupled to a fuel tank with two stroke oil in it.
Do you reccomend new VRO, put a kit in the VRO ot just run it on 50:1.
Thanks for any info.
