I have a 1999 175 merc efi boat has not ran right in years and has been to multiple mechanic shops that can not duplicate the problem for some reason. The motor starts, idles, and will idle in gear for some time but after running on the water it won’t idle in gear with out giving it gas (has a hot foot) but will run as long as you’re on the gas just not at idle rpms.
